OGC Compliance Testing Portal

This is the home of the Open Geospatial Consortium's on-line compliance testing resources. For a general overview of OGC's Compliance Testing Program, to learn the requirements for official compliance certification, or to download off-line test suites please visit the OGC Compliance Testing page.

The portal is currently able to test Catalogue Services/Web (CSW), Web Coverage Service (WCS), Web Feature Service (WFS), and Web Mapping Service (WMS) software implementations for compliance to the latest approved specifications. In addition resources for validating GeoRSS, Geography Markup Language (GML), and Web Map Context (WMC) are available in a non-certification capacity. All tests are online, automated, and self-service! They are a required, but not the only step in product certification. To get started, read the Compliance Testing Program documentation, then use one of the Quick Links in the menu to the right to start testing.

In addition, the OGC also provides a tool to validate Geography Markup Language (GML) version 2.1.2 files and schema, although a formal testing program for GML does not yet exist.

If you want to try out compliant software, take a look at the Reference Implementations. deegree is the reference WMS & WMC, GeoServer is the reference WFS, and GeoNetwork is the reference CSW. They are all open-source applications.

Have fun and let us know what you think.
